Accessibility statement
This accessibility statement applies to the website published at www.irz.de for IRZ e.V. (Deutsche Stiftung für internationale rechtliche Zusammenarbeit eingetragener Verein or German Foundation for International Legal Cooperation), online since 2011
As a public sector body governed by Directive (EU) 2016/2102, we strive to make our websites and mobile applications accessible in accordance with the provisions of the German Federal Act on Equal Opportunities for Persons with Disabilities (“Behindertengleichstellungsgesetz des Bundes” or BGG) and the Ordinance on Accessible Information Technology (Barrierefreie-Informationstechnik-Verordnung or BITV 2.0) implementing Directive (EU) 2016/2102.
Status of compatibility with requirements
The accessibility requirements are pursuant to §§ 3 paragraphs 1 to 4 of the BITV 2.0, which was enacted on the basis of § 12d BGG.
The verification of compliance with the requirements is based on an assessment carried out on February 29, 2024 by the Überwachungsstelle des Bundes für Barrierefreiheit von Informationstechnik (BFIT, Federal Monitoring Agency for Accessibility of Information Technology) in accordance with the legal requirements and global standards (EN 301 549, BITV 2.0).
The website was only partly compatible with the aforementioned requirements. The IRZ has made extensive improvements here.
- At present, the following content is not fully accessible before 2021: content that is not required for active administrative procedures and listed below: Images and graphic functions do not always have meaningful alternative texts.
- The hierarchy of headings that can be determined programmatically deviates in part from the structure of page contents.
- Some input fields do not have a label that can be determined programmatically.
- Text parts in other languages are not sufficiently marked for screen readers.
- Links to document formats such as PDF are not consistently marked accordingly.
- PDF documents are not barrier-free.
IRZ e.V. is constantly working on further improving its website. Due to the wealth of material on the portal, which has been online since 2011, not all content and services have yet been made digitally accessible. Upon request, users can receive an accessible version of the desired document. Please send your request to:
